eCM NearMatch/Mismatch

How does the NearMatch for confirmation work and how to enable a Mismatch

GEN provides the possibility to identify CNF which might be the "correct" match, but differ in some fileds/enumerations.

This so called NearMatch function is proposing potential MatchCandidates. In the DocumentOverview tab, you can add a column "NearMatch" showing you if there are NearMatches and if yes, how many.

Clicking on the "Unmatched" button lead to the MatchingStatement view, where you can compare the CNFs and see the differences.

The Confidence level shows, how "good" the potential match is.

To go one step further, counterparties can agree on so called MisMatch Agreements, linking two NearMatches together and create a MisMath for it.

To set this up, please navigate to Agreements, Mismatch and add a new one:

The percentage defines the confidence level, above which two CNFs are linked in a MisMatch.

Note: Some fields in the CNF MUST be identical to allow for a NearMatch and/or a MisMatch:

  • SenderID
  • ReceiverID
  • Market
  • Commodity
  • TransactionType
  • BuyerParty
  • SellerParty
  • TradeDate
  • Agreement
  • Currency
  • Capacity Unit
  • Price Unit (Currency & Capacity)
