      Which validation applies for specific commodities and transaction types?

      This article describes the logic applied to validate a Confirmation processed.

      Type of validation

      The provisioned enumerations (values) of the two fields "Commodity" and "TransactionType" determine the type of validation applied by Confirmation Hub.

      The following validation types are provided:

      1. Strict eCM validation as per EFET industry standard
      2. GEN validation for Confirmations

      Applicability of GEN validation is a prerequisite to process Confirmations beyond EFET specification and commodities such as Guarantees of Origin (GoO), Coal, Oil etc. into the PDF-to-Confirm process.

      The following logic determines the application of the validation type:
