Routing Setup Guide
This guide explains the steps required to create a routing rule and configure how documents are routed in GEN.
Note: The "Active from" date defines when the rule becomes applicable. The rule will apply to documents with a trade date on or after the selected date.
Routing Rule Setup
-
"Enabled for list": defines a list of counterparties for which the routing rule should apply. When a counterparty is included in this list, documents related to that counterparty will follow the configured routing rule.
-
"Disabled for list": defines a list of counterparties that should be excluded from the routing rule. When a counterparty is included in this list, the routing rule will not apply to documents related to that counterparty.
-
"Disabled": the routing conditions above are not considered, and the routing rule is inactive. For example:
-
If "Disabled for list" is deactivated, the configured disabled list is ignored, meaning the rule applies to all counterparties unless restricted by another condition.
-
If "Disabled" is activated, the entire routing rule is disabled and will not be applied.
-
Routing Rule Conditions
A routing rule can be configured to apply to documents based on one or more of the following criteria:
- Counterparty – Apply the routing rule to documents involving specific counterparties.
- Transaction Type – Apply the routing rule based on the type of transaction.
- Commodity – Apply the routing rule based on the traded commodity (e.g., Power, Gas).
- Delivery Point – Apply the routing rule based on the defined delivery point.
- Agreement – Apply the routing rule based on the selected agreement.
For Counterparty rules, individual counterparties can be activated or deactivated within the routing configuration.
- An activated counterparty means the routing rule applies to documents involving that counterparty.
- A deactivated counterparty means the routing rule does not apply to documents involving that counterparty.
Multiple conditions can be combined to create more specific routing rules. A document will be routed according to the rule when the configured criteria are fulfilled.
